Generations Singing Duo believes in using our passion for music to make a positive impact on our community.
Over the years, we’ve had the honour of organizing and performing at numerous charity fundraisers and social events each one leaving a lasting impression on both us and those we aim to support.
Music Makes Memories for Dementia Support
One particularly memorable event was the Music Makes Memories Charity Concert in 2023, held in support of Sage House, Dementia Support.
This special evening was not only about raising funds but also about spreading awareness and love for those affected by dementia.
Together with Zoe Pniewski, one-half of Generations and the owner of My Special Event, we embarked on a heartfelt journey to make a difference.
During the concert, Zoe, alongside her mother Yvonne, delivered two stirring 30-minute sets of songs. From beloved classics to lesser-known gems, their performances resonated with the audience, touching hearts and inspiring generosity.
It was a night filled with emotion, as it was not only a dedication to the cause but also to their family member, Olive Bradstock, who was battling Alzheimer’s at the time.
Tragically, Olive passed away after the concert, but her spirit and memory lived on through the outpouring of support and donations generated that night.
The £932.00 raised for Sage House was a testament to the power of music and community coming together for a common cause.
For Zoe and Yvonne, this fundraiser was deeply personal, as it allowed them to honour Olive’s memory while advocating for others affected by dementia.
Every note sung was infused with love and dedication, making the Music Makes Memories Charity Concert an unforgettable experience for all involved.
Different Performances for Different Causes,
Not all of the performances, Generations Singing Duo do are for Charity. They have several different Charities including The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre (Purrfest 2013).
They have been asked on numerous occasions to perform at choir concerts and social events for local groups. There have been straight singing performances and ones where every song had a costume change or two!!

The Future is Waiting for Generations
Generations are in the process of producing a yearly Charity Fundraising concert in the local area.
Each year a local Charity will be picked for them to support and a platform will be set for local artists to come and perform for a paying audience, to raise money for Charity.
